Making meaningful change can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re trying to break old patterns, rebuild after a setback, or move forward in a new direction, I’m here to help you take the next step with clarity and purpose.
After 23 years in the chemical industry, I chose to shift into work that makes a real difference in people’s lives, helping them overcome obstacles, navigate life’s challenges, and move forward with purpose. That led me to enroll in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program at Northern Kentucky University at age 47. Three years later, I graduated with a new degree and a renewed sense of purpose.
My path to becoming a counselor wasn’t linear. Living through the ups and downs of substance use in my earlier years has given me a strong appreciation for resilience and change. That lived experience gives me a deep understanding of struggle, as well as the hope that comes with recovery. Today, I draw from that personal history, as well as professional training, to support others in their healing journeys.
My clinical work is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy. These are practical, evidence-based approaches that help clients identify what’s working and build on it. I specialize in addiction recovery and habit change, working with individuals who are ready to break cycles, regain control, and create lasting transformation.
At Growth Point Wellness, the name says it all. A growth point is the place where new life begins, where change takes root and something stronger emerges. I believe every person has the capacity to grow, even in the face of setbacks, doubt, or pain. My role is to help you discover that place of potential and support you as it takes shape.
Outside the office, I’m a long-distance runner who finds clarity in training for marathons. I also taught guitar during my undergrad years at Xavier University and continue to enjoy playing music as a creative outlet. I’m married and a father of two teenagers. Family life continues to be one of my greatest sources of strength and perspective.

My name is Harrison, and I am a mental health counselor (LPCA KY).
Justin King and I met in 2022 and built a fast and enduring friendship. Today I am deeply proud to be a part of his adventure in building Growth Point Wellness.
My in-the-field counseling work began at St. Elizabeth Hospice Grief Support where I helped individuals and families grappling with loss. My work then continued at UC Health Employee Assistance Program where I counseled medical staff and their families for a variety of needs including work stress and adjustment to big life changes. Seven years of my professional life have been spent working with clients struggling with substance use disorders.
If you are battling stress, having difficulty adjusting, are grieving, feel held back by depression or anxiety, have concern about your substance/alcohol use, or just need someone to talk to while you work through a hard time, so often the only way out is through. We can find a way.
My counseling style is existential in nature, with a strengths-based approach.
Life is, by its very nature, challenging. Without challenge, it isn’t life at all. What matters is how we face those challenges.
You have strengths. We can find them. You can use them.
I am available in the evening hours Monday to Thursday for in-person meetings at the office, or over telehealth.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor in Kentucky and Ohio. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds in settings that include private practice, faith-based organizations, foster care, university counseling, community mental health, and court-ordered programs. My goal is to offer compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and comfortable space where hope and healing can begin.
My specialization is providing sex and relationship therapy to individuals and couples. I’m passionate about helping people explore who they truly are and develop deeper intimacy in their relationships. As we learn to love and accept ourselves, we become more open to genuine connection—emotionally, intellectually, sexually, and spiritually. Countless individuals settle for frustration or disconnection in their relationships and sex lives; my hope is to guide you toward something more fulfilling.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including low desire or fulfillment, pain during sex, performance anxiety, pornography issues, frequency expectations, sexual trauma or hurt, intimacy disorders, and communication breakdowns.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and integrative, combining relational life theory with trauma-informed care, attachment work, and family systems approaches. I also draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and sensate focus techniques to support meaningful change, promote healing and renew closeness.
As vulnerable as it can feel to engage in therapy, it can also be a rewarding journey. I would love to meet you and hear your story.

I’m excited to offer free counseling services as a student intern, where I bring together CBT, person-centered, and existential therapies in my approach. I practice under the clinical supervision of Amy Clark, LPCC-S.
Under the guidance of experienced clinicians, I’m always growing to provide you with the most effective, evidence-based support. My aim is to create a safe, empathetic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. I’m all about building a strong, collaborative relationship where you feel truly heard and understood!
